4-Aminophenol sulfate - Introduction
Aminophenol sulfate (also known as APAP,Acetaminophen) is a commonly used over-the-counter drug that has antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory effects. It is a white crystalline powder, insoluble in water and easily soluble in ethanol and chloroform.
The primary use of aminophenol sulfate is to relieve mild to moderate pain and reduce fever. It is often used to treat symptoms such as headache, toothache, joint pain, muscle pain and fever caused by colds. It can also be used as a cosmetic ingredient in skin care products.
Aminophenol sulfate is generally obtained by reacting phenol with sulfuric acid. First, phenol is added to sulfuric acid equivalent thereto, and reacted with stirring and heating to produce aminophenol sulfate. The solution was then further processed and filtered to give a solid product.
Regarding safety information, aminophenol sulfate is relatively safe at appropriate dosages. However, excessive use may cause damage to the liver. When taking, it should be used in strict accordance with the dosage indicated by the doctor or the drug. Some individuals may have allergic reactions to the drug, such as rashes and difficulty breathing. If there is any discomfort, stop using it immediately and seek medical advice. At the same time, use with caution in children, pregnant and lactating women. In view of individual differences, before use should also consult a doctor or pharmacist for advice. In storage, it should be kept in a dry, cool place, away from sunlight and high temperature.
